The Artist Within…Creates

The difference between me and many other artists is not talent, gift or ability. Though those are distinguishable traits of my artistry, they are not what ultimately sets me apart. What does is that my craft and the arts are not separate from me. It is not something that is outside of me. I am the arts. I am my craft. It's a one in the same deal. That activates your empowerment factor. And enables you to use your power to empower. For a musician the instrument won't play on its own, therefore the musician has to bring the life of music to the instrument. A dancer brings movement from within her. Her body doesn't move on its own without activation of some sort, even if it's not conscious activation.

The arts, therefore, is me and my craft is me. Creativity then becomes the byproduct of being me. Thinking, reacting, acting, reflecting= creativity. Being creative is thought of as having "good" imagination. That's why people are able to deny their creativity; because they don't think they have "good" imagination. Can you imagine? Then you can create. You are creative. The level of mastery comes with intention and investment. "Just as one small plain black watermelon seed goes within itself to become a big green watermelon with a white rhine and a red middle so to can an single thought become a masterpiece, become a movement, become an extraordinary monument."
